At Create SRQ, we believe that creativity is for everyone. Art has the power to heal, inspire, and connect, but too often, barriers—whether physical, mental, or financial—stand in the way.
Our mission is simple: to make arts and crafts accessible to all. Create SRQ is dedicated to removing barriers and opening doors to creativity. By providing financial assistance, tool-based learning, and project resources, we ensure that no one is left out of the joy and empowerment that comes from building, crafting, and creating.
Through hands-on projects, safe tool education, and take-home creative kits, we empower individuals of all ages and abilities to discover the joy of making something with their own two hands.
What We Do
1. Subsidized Programs & Projects
We believe everyone deserves the chance to create. That’s why we help cover the cost of programs and projects for individuals and families facing financial, physical, or mental challenges. Creativity shouldn’t come with a price tag that excludes those who need it most.
2. Empowering Women with Tools
Confidence starts with knowing you can tackle challenges in your own home. Create SRQ provides workshops that teach women how to safely use tools for basic repairs—like changing door knobs, patching drywall, or fixing household items. These skills save money, boost independence, and build self-reliance.
3. Youth Tool Education
Today’s kids are tomorrow’s makers. Our youth programs teach kids and teens how to safely use power tools to create projects that build both skills and confidence. From beginner projects to more advanced builds, students learn responsibility, safety, and the pride of creating something tangible.
4. Busy Boxes for Homebound Creativity
For children and individuals who are homebound—whether due to illness, disability, or long-term recovery—Create SRQ offers Busy Boxes. Each box includes everything needed to complete nine different craft projects without requiring any extra supplies. Busy Boxes bring the joy of creativity right to their doorstep, providing entertainment, accomplishment, and joy during challenging times.
